LANGHANS - PEOPLE IN NEED CENTRE
People in Need and Langhans Gallery Prague are glad to announce the opening of a new multi-functional centre organized by the People in Need organisation by the end of May 2012
The new center’s activities will focus on tolerance, solidarity, humanitarian and development aid, promotion of freedom and democracy both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The center is envisioned as a place for meetings, discussions, lectures and mutual inspiration for both domestic and international civil society groups. People in Need will have a chance to present its experience with implementing numerous projects and events at home and abroad. The center will also be home to an invaluable library of publications and documents as well as a video library of documentaries from the One World Film Festival.
During the first phase, in the summer, a café will be opened and visitors will be able to enjoy an exhibition displaying twenty years of work of People in Need. During the fall 2012, the center will announce a full program of its activities.
