"Women in Danger"
Raphael Dallaporta: Domestic Slavery
In a non-traditional way, the young French photographer draws attention to the stories of women, which are taking place in the heart of Europe. The seemingly unobtrusive facades of apartment blocks, concrete panelled tower blocks and opulent villas in the photographs hide the individual stories of enslaved women.
Iva Zímová: Ethiopia – Poverty and Hunger
A longstanding collaborator with the People in Need foundation, the photographer Iva Zímová has created a collection of large colour photos capturing Ethiopian women in places where People in Need is building schools. The pictures provide testimony of how these women and girls fight everyday for survival: first of all food and water has to be found, only then is it possible to think about education.
Jenny Matthews: Women and War
A cycle of documentary photographs presenting black-and-white pictures of women from war-torn regions (southern Sudan, Iraq, Sierra Leone, Colombia, Afghanistan, El Salvador, Chechnya, Zaire, Albania and Liberia).
