info September 20112012 WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW FUTURE USE
After more than 8 years and 40 exhibitions Zuzana Meisnerová-Wismer, founder of Langhans Galerie Praha, decided to terminate the exhibition activities in order to focus more on the Archive Langhans. The premise of the Langhans Gallery continues to be used for cultural purposes. We are looking for suitable institutions for the long-term use of the premise.
WE WILL CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL TO OUR PRINCIPLES:
“To be a platform for culture, for encounters and for the exchange of ideas; to be a bridge between East and West; to be an interface between tradition and innovation, continuity and discontinuity”

The gallery operator PRO Langhans agrees to lease the premises, under certain conditions, for a symbolic rent of one Czech crown.
THE BASIC CONDITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Additional costs for the gallery premises (electricity, heating, etc.) are ca 25.000. - CZK/ monthly. Details to be specified.
- The renter acts in his own responsibility. The commitment of PRO Langhans is limited to making available the facilities.
- The institution has to be a Non-profit organisation preferably of international interest.
- A long term engagement is essential.
- Part of the premises has to be permanently open to the public (workshops, exhibitions, discussions etc.) and create a centre of attention.
- The brand Langhans Gallery Prague should be integrated in the internal and external communication.
- Considerate behaviour with the past - respectful treatment of the architecture as well as carefulness in the visual appearance are still important to us.
